Peer Mentor Biographies

Stacey Youth Volunteer Mentor Supervisor
Stacey has a Bachelors Degree in Sociology and is currently attending Graduate School where she is studying Psychology. She works full time for a Department of Health program called the Special Kids Network as an information and Referral Specialist.

In Stacey’s spare time she volunteers at a domestic violence shelter working with the children and battered women. She loves spending time with kids. Guitar is her passion - even though she can’t play yet. She has a guitar and does takes lessons. Her favorite band is Korn. She recently saw them in concert and was blown away by them. When she can find some extra time she loves to paint in oils. Stacey recently joined Love Our Children USA and is psyched about the Youth For Youth Partnership. She lives in Pennsylvania.


Rebecca Youth Peer Mentor
Rebecca is a junior in high school and lives in central California. She is an honor student, volunteers at her local hospital, and is plays volleyball and jogs.

She loves to cook, sews, paints and is a huge fan of Phish! Last year she was a youth mentor for elementary school kids and wants to be a teacher.

Eric Youth Peer Mentor
Eric lives in Georgia and is one of eleven kids. A junior in high school, he babysits his siblings while his mom works two jobs. Eric has a part-time job on the weekends. While he doesn't have a lot of time he loves music and tries to shoot some hoops iwth his friends when he can.

Eric wants to be a pediatrician and knows becoming a doctor will take a long time and a lot of money, but he's committed to working hard. His role models are Russell Simmons and Will Smith.

Amanda Youth Peer Mentor
Amanda is 17 and lives in Massachusetts. She swims every morning before school and is passionate about skiing, dance and parties!

She love kids and wants to have a big family when she gets married. Her volunteer lists reads like a laundry list. Amanda is a 'B' student and wants to be a news reporter when she graduates from college.
